Question 1039478: Please help me solve this problem; If 44 people went to a skating rink and paid $5 for adult and $3 for kids and their total is $168, What is the is the total amount of kids
Answer by t0hierry(194)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
n number of kids, m number of adults
nk + ma = 168
n + m = 44
so
nk + (44 - n)a = 168
where k=3 and a=5
so
n = (168-44*5)/(-2) = 26
