Question 1038693: that is my gmail put up by my children and i cant change it but my question to you if you would be so kind as to help as iam no good at maths is iam leaving money when i die to four people and its in percentages 150 thousand three get twenty thousand and the last one gets the remainder all the rest what percentages are the amounts they each get many thanks for your help on this MR JOHN OLDFIELD
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If it is $150,000 and I understand the question properly,
3 get 20,000
That is 20,000/150,000 or 2/15, when all the zeros cancel out.
2/15 is 15 divided into 2.00000, and that is 13.3%, 13.33333333% if you wish.
The last gets what is left over, which is $90,000, and that is 60% of $150,000
Three get 13.3%, one gets 60%, and the last 0.1% is rounding error.
