height/shadow = height/shadow

h/18 = 4.5/9.25

h = 18(4.5/9.25)

The ratio of the boy's height to the length of his shadow is:
4.5/9.25= 0.486
Since the tree's shadow is 18 feet long, the height of the tree is:
18*0.486 = 8.75 feet
