Question 589326: Hi I need you help solving a problem for a rhombus. The question asks to solve for the values of X and Y. I'm given a rhombus with angles labeled ABCD. ∠A is (4x-y) degrees ∠B is (2x-3y) degrees ∠C is (4x) degrees and ∠D is (2x-5y) degrees. There is also an exterior angle that extends from ∠D and that exterior angle is (6x+2y) degrees. Once again the question asks to solve for X and Y, and the shape if the figure is a rhombus. I hope this a good enough explanation that someone's able to help. Thank you.

Question 590826: Hi, I've been stuck on this problem for a long time now, and now I'm seeking for help to solve it.
Assuming ABCD is a parallelogram, find x and y if:
AB= 2x, BC= 3y+8, CD= 7x-25, AD= 5y-10
I only know how to solve these types of equations, as long as the perimeter is included. But since it isn't in this case, I'm really stumped.
Thanks for your help!

Question 604160: In parallelogram ABCD, base AD is 15 units long and base AB is 8 units long. What are the height and area of ABCD if the measure of angle DAB is 20 degrees?
This is a Geometry question, but it is labeled "Using Trigonometry". I've only ever done trigonometry with right triangles, not parallelograms.
I know that the area of a parallelogram is base * height, and that the base of ABCD is 15. I'm just stumped when it comes to finding the height.

Question 614017: The coordinate points of a parallelogram are A(-3,-1) B(-1,7) C(2,2) D(0,-6).
(a) What is slope of segment CD? A.) 8/2 B.) -2/8
(b) What is the slope of any segment that would be perpendicular to segment CD?
(c) Use the slope determined in the previous problem to draw a height for the parallelogram from point A to segment CD. Label the point where the height intersects segment CD as point E. What are the coordinates of point E?
A.) 8/2 B.) -2/8
I really need help figuring out how to find these coordinates!
