Two line are equal if they intersect at a common pont.
Therefore,
OR=NP
3x-4=5x+20
5x-3x=20+4
2x=24
x=12
The value of x is 12.

MathTherapy is correct. Timnewman is incorrect because OR is only half the measure of NP (diagonals of a rectangle bisect each other)
