Question 947891: In quadrilateral abcd, ab is 4cm longer than bc. If the perimeter is 68cm howmlong must each side so that the figures is parallelogram?
Answer by Zucchini(70) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First of all, draw a picture and label it. Next, make the side bc "x". So, ab= 4+x. So, 4 + x + 4 + x + x + x = 68. Get like terms together. 8 + 4x= 68. Subtract: 4x = 60. Divide: x = 15. So, side bc is 15cm and side an is 19cm. To check, 15 + 15 + 19 + 19. It all adds up to be 68.
