Question 759833: write an equation of the lines that is parelle to y=5x-1 and passes through (4,7)
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lines that are parallel have the same gradient i.e. 5
y - b = m(x - a)
y - 7 = 5(x - 4)
y - 7 = 5x - 20
y = 5x - 20 + 7
y = 5x - 13.
Hope this helps.
