so taking AB as base area of parallelogram= AB*distance betn AB & CD=3*1=3....1
now taking AD as base area of parallelogram= AD*distance betn AD & BC
=2*distance betn AD & BC................2
equating the above two eqns
so 2*distance betn AD & BC=3
or distance betn AD & BC=3/2
