Question 287096:  Show that A(-4,-1), B(0,-2), C (6,1) and D(2,2) are vertices of a parallelogram

 By applying the distance formula d(P1,P2)=sqrt ((x2-x1)^2)+((y2-y1)^2)
we find that the distances of the points:
             AB = sqrt(17)
             BC = sqrt(45)
             CD = sqrt(17)
             DA = sqrt(45)
Since the distances of AB=CD and the distances of BC=DA, this shows that the vertices form a parallelogram.
