Start at 100%
Reduce by 10%: 100% - 10% = 90%
Now increase that by 10% (note: 10% of 90% = 0.1*0.9 = 0.09 = 9%)
90% + 9% = 99%

We've gone from 100% to 99%
Therefore, the original price is greater.
