Question 793255: How do you subtract fractions? I need a refresher on it. My equation is 5/x - x/x-3
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5/x - x/x-3
Common denominator = x(x - 3)
[5(x - 3) - x^2]/x(x - 3)
[5x - 15 - x^2]/x(x - 3)
Hope this helps.
