Question 785357: 1/4 (5t-9) = t+9/8 what is the solution set
Answer by waynest(281) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/4(5t -9) = t + 9/8
8(1/4)(5t - 9) = 8(t) + 8(9/8)
2(5t -9) = 8t + 9
10t - 18 = 8t + 9
10t - 8t = 18 + 9
2t = 27
t = 27/2
check:
1/4(5(27/2) - 9) = (27/2) + 9/8
14.625 = 14.625
