Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two ways:
3 11/15 + 4 7/15
= 56/15 + 67/15 {changed to improper fractions}
= 123/15 {combined numerators over common denominator}
= 8 3/15 {changed to mixed number}
= 8 1/5 {reduced}
or
3 11/15 + 4 7/15
= 7 18/15 {combined numerators over common denominator}
= 8 3/15 {simplified}
= 8 1/5 {reduced}
