(-5/24)/(7/12) IN ORDER TO DIVIDE A FRACTION YOU NEED TO INVERT THE DENOMINATOR
TO (12/7) AND MULTIPLY THIS BY THE NUMERATOR.

Invert the denominator and multiply:
[-5/24]
=[-5/2]/[1/7]
=-5/14
