Question 643188: I know that 8x3/4=6 but can you explain to me how you get 6 as the answer? I just can not figure it out.
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8 * 3/4 = 24/4
divide numerator and denominator of 24/4 by 4 and you get (24/4) / (4/4) which becomes 6/1 which becomes 6.
it's just a matter of reducing the fraction of 24/4 to its simplest term which winds up being 6/1 which is the same as 6.
