Hi,
A ladder leans agains a building forming an angle of 58 degrees with the ground.
The bae of the ladder is 3 feet from the building.
Usethe cosine determine the length of the ladder.
Let h represent the length of the ladder.
cos(58) = adj/hyp = 3/h
h = 3ft/cos(58) = 5.66ft
