Question 622114: I just need checking if I have answered this question correctly.
Mary and Ann together receive a total of �306.00 for babysitting. Ann is paid for 14 days work and Mary is paid for 15 days work. Ann's pay for 6 days work is �6 more than Mary gets for 4 days. Work out how much they each earn per day.
I worked out that over 14 days, Ann would get �20.00 more than Mary over the period. I then gave Mary's earnings as x. So 2x + �20 = �306. x = �143. Therefore, Mary earns �143 and Ann earns �163.
