I need help I tried to multiply, add and i can't get that answer

Answer by ExplanationCentral(10)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The probability of the first event, selecting a blue marble from bag 1 is 1/8.
The probability of the second event, selecting a non blue marble from bag 2 is 5/6.
So assuming the two events are independent, the probability of the first event and then the second event occurring is (1/8)*(5/6) = 5/48.
