First, find the prime factors of each of the two numbers using exponents for repeated factors:
120: 2*2*2*3*3*3*5 =
135: 3*3*3*5 =
Now, from the two lists of prime factors, take the product of the highest power of each factor.

The LCD of 120 and 135 is 1080.
