isolate the x variable by subtracting x from both sides and subtracting 7 from both sides
4x+7-x-7 3x<-15
Divide both sides by 3
x<-5
because it is not equal to -5, just less than, you will use an open circle around the -5 and draw the arrow from the circle to the left of the -5.
