then second number=(x+2)
then third number= ((x+2)+2)=(x+4)
then sum of all three numbers=x+(x+2)+(x+4)=138

3x+6=138
3x=132
x=132/3
x=44

Then largest number is equal to (x+4) = 48 Ans

In this case, the middle number of the three consecutive even integers is   = 46,


so the greatest of them is  48.     ANSWER
