The easiest way to do so is this:

Take a number like 0.376

This is exactly the same as 376/1000

Of course you can then reduce the fraction to 47/125

Try another one, say 5.98

This is the same as 598/100 or 5 and 98/100 or 5 and 49/50.

The trick is to take the "number" and then divide it by the number which represents how many decimal places the number goes to.

In the first example, our number was 0.376

In order to solve that, we put 376 over 1000, because the decimal goes to the thousandths place!

In the second example, our number was 5.98, and we used 598 divided by 100 because the decimal goes to the hundreths place.

One last example, say 105.6

We would put 1056 over 10 because the decimal goes to the tenths place!

So we would end up with 1056/10 which reduces to 528/5 or using a mixed number, it would be 105 and 3/5.

There's a lot more to it when you get to repeating numbers such as 0.3333333..., but for now, this is the easiest way to do it.

I hope this helps!
