Since denominators 7 and 9 have no common factors other than 1,
we find the LCD by multiplying them together:  

We multiply the first fraction by  and the second 
fraction by 



Multiply numerators and denominators



Now add the numerators 27+14 = 41 and place the sum over the LCD



That's the final answer.  It does not reduce.
