You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To add fractions you must have a "common denominator"--an integer that is a common multiple of the denominators of two or more fractions
an attribute that is common to all members of a category. So here 1%2F4+%2B+3%2F7+%2B+1%2F8 We find that 56 is a common denominator for these numbers (you can find this by testing a few numbers) so %28%281%2A14%29%2F%284%2A14%29%29%2B%28%283%2A8%29%2F%287%2A8%29%29%2B%28%281%2A7%29%2F%288%2A7%29%29=45%2F56.
Hope this helps,
