Question 337420: I am so confused. I went to pre algebra in 7th and now im in algebra im in eighth grade. I forgot SOOOOOOO much from last year and we were just reviewing stuff for this first week of school. I dont know how to do anything. I have a quiz tomorrow and if i fail i get sent back to pre algebra... One of my questions are 2 1/2 + (- 3/4) Please help. I dont want to go back to pre algebra!

remember a plus times a minus equals a minus
find common denominator
10/4-3/4=7/4
