Question 295490: 5 and 2/3-3 and 4/5
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5 and 2/3-3 and 4/5
Change to fractions, not mixed numbers
(17/3) - (19/5)
Get a common denominator, = 3*5
(85/15) - (57/15)
= (85-57)/15
= 28/15
---------
You can call it 1 13/15, but there's no advantage to that.
