An improper fraction is a fraction where the numerator is the same or bigger than the denominator.
I am not aware of a way to convert from improper to proper. We can convert improper fractions to mixed numbers. The way we convert to a mixed is with division and use remainder numbers.
EX:
5/5 = 1 r 0 = 1
13/7 = 1 r 5 = 1 and 5/7
23/12 = 1 r 11 = 1 and 11/12
