My problems is as follows:

x+%2B+1%2F2+=+5%2F6

Subtract 1%2F2 from both sides of the equation

x%2B1%2F2-1%2F2=5%2F6-1%2F2

x=5%2F6-3%2F6


x=2%2F6=1%2F3

ANSWER: x=1%2F3
