well, use a calculator?

if you need to do it by hand, then... 4.242x10^2 is 424.2

So %28424.2%29%2F%282.1x10%5E%28-1%29%29

424.2/2.1 is 202 so we have %28202%29%2F%281x10%5E%28-1%29%29 which can be thought of as %282.02x10%5E2%29%2F%281x10%5E%28-1%29%29 which then becomes 2.02x10%5E3 which is 2020.

This is a fair bit of messing around with numbers, but is all good practice for you.
