Answer by xcentaur(357) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/3x=16
simply multiply both sides by 3
(3)(2/3)(x)=(3)(16)
on the left hand side,the 3 cancels out from the denominator
(2)(x)=(3)(16)
Now divide everything by 2
x=(3)(16)/(2)
x=(3)(8)
x=24
