Invert the denominator and multiply, as follows:
= (70/x) * (x/10)
The x's cancel; The common factor of 10 cancels;
The result is :
= 7

Well since it is not equal to any thing, we can't solve for "x". However, we can simplify
Start with the given expression
Multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction
Factor to get
Combine the fractions.
Highlight the common terms
Cancel out the common terms
Simplify
So simplifies to
