Jasmin is walking a group of 6 dogs. In how many different orders can the enter her house in single file to get a drink of water?
A. 21 B. 40 C. 480 D. 720
------------
Any dog can be first, so that's 1 of 6.
The 2nd dog can be any 1 of 5.
Then 1 of 4, etc, so it's 6x5x4x3x2x1. That's 6!, 6 factorial = 720. More than you'd think at 1st glance.
