How do you get 22? I would like to see how you solved the problem.
14-1/4*n=22
First we will subtract 14 from both sides.
14-1%2F4n-14=22-14
-1%2F4n=8
Now we multiply both sides by the inverse of 1%2F4, which is 4%2F1
-1%2F4n%2814%2F1%29=8%28-4%2F1%29
n=-32
Check:
14-1%2F4%28-32%29=22
14%2B32%2F4=22
14+8=22
