Yes, that is indeed wrong. It is easy to check it is wrong because if two expressions are the same they should always equal the same thing, your expression doesn't work for zero, whereas the first one does. I'm not sure how you got that answer, but I suggest you start by factoring the denominator on the left and then see if you can make the denominator on the right look the same.

I.e factor and then see if you can make both denominators look the same.
