Each pair of soccer shorts requires 5/6 yd of fabric.
How many pairs of soccer shorts can be​ made with the 9 2/7 yd? How much material will be left​ over?

Divide the greater number  9  =  +  =   by the lesser number   


     =  =  =  = 11 .


The integer part of it,  11,  is the number of pairs of soccer shorts.
