Question 1132598: Rewrite cos(x+Ï€/6) in terms of sin(x) and cos(x)
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
cos (u+/-v)=cos u*cos v-/+ sin u*sin v
u is x and v is pi/6
=cos x*cos pi/6-sin x * sin pi/6; cos pi/6 is sqrt(3)/2, and sin pi/6 is 0.5
=sqrt(3)/2*cos x-(1/2) sin x.
