Let's say that x is the smaller polygon, it says that the scale is 5:2. Then we can say that . For this propotion you can say that and . To find y you should divide 100 by 5, the result is 20. 20 is y so that means 2(20) is x. 2(20)=40. That means that x is 40.

The smaller polygon has the area of 40.
