Question 1026614: Use two unit multipliers to change 1,200 square inches to square feet. (Do not multiply out).
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1200 sq in * (1ft/12 in)*(1ft/12 in)
Start with what you have and equals what you want.
you start with in^2. You have to get to ft^2. Therefore you need feet in the numerator and in in the denominator, so the in^2 cancel and you are left with ft^2.
Not that the answer is required, but it is 8 1/3 sq ft.
there are 144 sq in in 1 sq ft.
