Question 1002554: 2/9thsX=1/6th=4/3rds
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/9 * x = 1/6
multiply both sides of the equation by 9/2 to get:
2/9 * 9/2 * x = 1/6 * 9/2
simplify to get:
x = 1/6 * 9/2
simplify further to get:
x = 9/12
simplify further to get:
x = 3/4

replace x with 3/4 to get:
2/9 * x = 1/6 becomes:
2/9 * 3/4 = 1/6 which becomes:
6/36 = 1/6 which becomes:
1/6 = 1/6

solution is confirmed as good.

it is not 4/3.
it is 3/4.
