Question 9244: what is the ratio of the number of nickles in a quarter to the number of quarters in a dollar?(the possibilites are.....5/4, 5/25, 4/5, or none of these)
Answer by DWL(56) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There aere 5 nickles in a quarter = 5/25
There are 4 quarters in a dollar = 1/4
Quarters are the common denomiator
5/25 to 1/4
5 times 4 = 20
25 times 1 = 25
Therefore 20/25 reduce the fraction by dividing both numerator and denomator by 5
Gives 4/5
Answer 4/5
