The set of whole numbers is {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ...}

Basically any nonnegative number that does NOT have any fractional or decimal part.

Since sqrt(3) = 1.73 roughly and sqrt(100) = 10, this means that only 0, 86 and sqrt(100) are whole numbers. The rest are not whole numbers.

Only 0, 86 and .  The set of whole numbers is this infinite set:
 {0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,...84,85,86,97,88,89,...1000,...1000000,...}

But none of the others in the list are members of that set.
