The product of two numbers is between 30 and 45 .
One of them is 11 more than the other number.
What are two numbers.
Let x = one number
then
(x+11) = the other other
:
The product between 30 and 42, will be the product of two numbers whose difference is 11, how about 42: (14, 3)
x(x-11) = 42
x^2 - 11x - 42 = 0
Factors to
(x-14)(x+3) = 0
x = 14, then the other number is 3
x = -3, then the other number is -14
