Question 490970: I just solved an inequality problem and my answer was 1/7. Now I need to graph it on a number line. Im not sure which numbers should come before and after 1/7 on the number line. I put it on the number line as 1/7, 2/7, 3/7... but I am not sure if that is right.
Answer by Flannery(124) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
That was one way to do it. Your teacher might want you to put 1/7 one seventh of the way between one and seven. But you said it was an inequality. Was it something like x>1/7? Because if it was, draw a little circle around 1/7 and draw a line extending up the number line with an arrow on the end pointing to infinity.
