Question 272457: I have solved this inequality and I want to know how to graph it on a number line:
My answer is:
-2 is greater than b OR b is equal to and greater than -3. Does my line go on forever on each side of does it stop at -3 and -2?
Thank you.
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The number line goes on forever but we obviously only use a part of it.
-2>b or b>=-3
I assume you mean equal to or greater than -3 since a number can't be both equal to and greater than -3
so your b is b>-3
if your inequality had said -2>b and b>-3 then we would be limiting b to between -2 and -3 but it doesn't
