Question 158304: t < -3
Answer by midwood_trail(310) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! t < -3
I guess what you are trying to say is: Graph the inequality t < -3 on the number line.
To graph this inequality, draw a number line.
Go to -3.
Circle -3 ON THE LINE ITSELF.
And shade to the left of -3.
What the inequality is saying basically is that the value of t can be any number less than BUT NOT INCLUDING -3. This is why we circle -3, in this case.
<--------(-3)------(-2)---------(-1)----------(0)--------(1)-------(2)--->
Draw this line on your paper and SHADE the section to the left of -3.
Is this clear?
