Question 1131863: having trouble with this question. Thanks!

Abner got a building permit for a shed that limits its height to a maximum of 9.5 ft above the surface of the ground. He poured an above-ground foundation that was 4 inches thick, and the flat roof will add 6 inches to the height of the wall. He is going to build with concrete blocks that are 8 inches high (including the mortar).

a.
Write an inequality to calculate how many rows
of block he can lay without the shed exceeding the maximum height permitted.

Abner got a building permit for a shed that limits its height to a maximum of 9.5 ft above the surface of the ground. He poured an above-ground foundation that was 4 inches thick, and the flat roof will add 6 inches to the height of the wall. He is going to build with concrete blocks that are 8 inches high (including the mortar).
a. Write an inequality to calculate how many rows

let number of the rows be
if blocks that are inches high, than we have
he poured an above-ground foundation that was thick
add that to
and the flat roof will add inches to the height of the wall
=>
since height is limited to a maximum of above the surface of the ground,

b.
Solve the inequality
-> convert ft to in

c.
Draw a number line and plot the solution set.
