Question 73203: What is the product of this matrix equation using inverse matrices?
[3 -4 x [a = [6
2 1] x b] = 7]
(That is supposed to be a 2x2, a 1x1, and another 1x1. I put the equal and multiplication signs on both top and bottom to make the matrices look a little more aligned.)
Thank you!

What is the product of this matrix equation using inverse matrices?
[3 -4] x [a] = [6]
[2 1] x [b] = [7]
----------------
The inverse of the 2x2 is
[3 -4]
[2 1]
------------------
Multiply that 2x2 times
[6]
[7]
to get a=-10; b=19
--------
