Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Starting with
5x + 5y = 9
x = 19/15
y = 8/15
Substituting
5(19/15) + 5(8/15) = 9
5 goes into 15, 3 times so rewrite as
19/3 + 8/3 = 9
Add numerators
27/3
which = 9

How to solve 5x+5y=9 when x=19/15. And when solved Y=8/15.
I'm having a problem multipying the 19/15 into 5 to solve the equation.
Thank you for your assistance.

5x + 5y = 9

------ Substituting for x

19 + 15y = 27 ----- Multipling equation by LCD, 3
