The formula for the inverse of 

[a b]
[c d]

is 

   1    .[ d -b] 
ad - bc  [-c  a]

So the inverse of

[-9  5]
[ 6 -3]

is 

       1        . [-3 -5] 
(-9)(-3)-(5)(6)   [-6 -9]

    1   . [-3 -5] 
  27-30   [-6 -9]

    1  .[-3 -5] 
   -3   [-6 -9]
