Question 40075: please help me with this problem. solve the following equation
[0 0 -1]
[3 x 0 ] =x2 (x2 is x square and the equation is one matrix)
[2 0 3]

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
[0 0 -1]
[3 x 0 ] =x^2
[2 0 3]
The determinant is [ 0+0+0]-[-2x+0+0]=2x
So, 2x=x^2
x^2-2x=0
x(x-2)=0
x=0 or x=2
